I think it might be a challenge locally with the 208 time looking for an opening. A few years ago it wasn’t an issue, and such time on type got a job with some major carriers. However, hold files have since built up, and in the prior years the lull period due to training backlogs has now produced many more prop pilots chasing the next opportunity.
I’d probably recommend looking for a 208 position in Cairns then go looking for a larger turboprop opportunity.
