What first failed my sniff test was that I read the article and thought little of it made sense. I didn't recognise the accident described. Fine, it's clearly made up to illustrate a point.
But then it's littered with annotations and the statement "
*All names have been changed". This changes the emphasis completely. We all know that patient confidentiality is paramount, but not if they are made up people in a made up story! The annotation is a clear misdirection and should be called out.
The early comments below the article all all the usual ' I think helicopters are dangerous etc etc'. It's interesting to note the change once doubt is cast on the legitimacy of the content.
