I always wanted to fly Concorde but never had the money to. By the time I inherrited some money that would have enabled me to buy a Concorde ticket, it had stopped flying.
It will therefore for ever be an unfulfilled wish of mine to fly on Concorde.
The closest I have now got is the "Brooklands experience"; younger daughter bought me a gift voucher a couple of years ago and one of the things it could be used for was entry to the Brooklands Museum. I paid to upgrade to include the "basic" experience which I can highly recommend; the seats have been done like what I think you call a 3D movie experience - they jolt as if the plane is going over the joints in the runway, you get the ambient noise etc, vibrations increase with speed then stop as Concorde "takes off" - all in all one of the most memorable days off work that I have ever taken.
The husband of my mum's best friend was one of the designers of Concorde, working for BAe. All those who worked on Concorde were given 2 pendants; my mum's friend gave her the second one and it's been passed to me
