Well, what a joy to find this thread .... takes me back to the heady days of 1999 when I too took 3 weeks off work and ventured north (from Sunny Glasgow) to get my PPL sorted. Who wants to go to the USA on a conveyor belt course when you can do it at Inverness for cheaper ? Well that's wot I reckoned. I wnated to fly in Scotland, so I sure as hell was going to learn in Scotland.
