At KLM don't look at the short perspective, but at the long perspective. You will start with a wage between €70.000 and €100.000, but after 25 years (as captain long-haul), you will go over €420.000, excluding per diems (really good, for 24 hours CPH it is €150 NET or for a 4 day HKG it is close to €900 NET) and bonuses (at 100% contract). Their pension is great - by far the best in European aviation, all kinds of part-time possibilities, maternity leave, sick leave, ... (You will earn the same when flying 0 hours or 900 hours, the only difference are the per diems). After 1 year you can commute for free between your home country and the Netherlands and many more items (do not even start about asking questions like food when flying etc.)
Great place to work if you then add the rude cabin attendants, arrogant, nasty and racists colleagues. Wow amazing place to work! Money is not everything Frank, there is something else you are clearly missing...
