Airbus and Boeing are sold out til 2030, maybe longer. So the orders on the CX books are pretty much all there is - and many of those are replacements for the 20+ year old 330 and 777
so growth will be modest for the medium term.
Spoke to a guy who got A321 and he is being offered command only 1.5 years after joining. Older guys still have to retire and unhappy people are still leaving (including DEFO's). Sure, time to command will increase eventually, but 12 years again? I don't see it, especially since this is now a stepping stone airline.
Actually very surprised HR would say it's 12 years in the first place, and not sell some pipe dream like they always do. Shows how clueless they are about what's going on.
