Hi
aluminium hail I am based in Europe and I do use the same logbook. I have logged (private) flights in NZ before, but I did use ZULU times, since I also filed VFR flightplans in ZULU etc., so never had this issue. I just tested PILOTLOG and changed my homebase to NZAA and the settings to log DATES as "UTC - GMT Date" and HOURS as "LOCAL - Local Time at Airfields".
Also make sure your night settings are as follows:
I created two test logs, one as an AM day flight and one PM flight, departing day, landing at night:
I pretended that this flight took place on the 20th local time (=19th UTC), all correct:
For the second flight I had to change the date manually to the 20th, because here in Europe it is still the 19th... but as you can see it logged night time correctly after this correction, as SS+30 in Kaikoura was
calculated to be 17:50LT today.
So, maybe changing the date settings to "UTC" will help and logging in UTC-hours will definitely solve your night/day hour issues. For the correct dates you'll have to watch out as to what the app is actually doing. In theory it should be doing it correctly with DATE set to UTC, but... let us know how it's going.
