For anyone considering applying to Heston Airlines, you should understand the changes below.
They are forcing all pilots (who have already signed a service agreement) to re-sign a new contract, or else... The "pilot contract improvements" include penalties for calling in fatigue or sickness. Some of us signed up with Heston Airlines knowing we would have a fixed roster, such as 20/10, for example. The new contract will state that they can change this at any time at their discretion, meaning that at any moment they can alter your roster, and you’ll have to stay longer at the base.
Another point in the new contract is that for a non-European region base, pilots will be forced to adopt a different roster pattern, such as 30 days on, 13 days off. Heston Airlines is deliberately waiting until March to inform the crew because they know it will be difficult to find a new job before the summer season.
This is not what people signed up for, and the company has made this decision with no consultation with the flight crew. For a company heading into a summer season with not enough crew, it is surprising that they want to upset their current pilots. They have introduced a referral bonus to stop people from leaving and a bonus at the end of the season.
Look elsewhere if you have any sense; join a real company.
