Apparently some Boeing AMMs (737 at least) prohibit engine covers for wind more then 60kts. I think we can all agree that engine covers are a no brainer for high wind conditions, not least in snowy conditions, where you could get engines packed with snow and ice which could be difficult to thaw out. I would like to understand this limitation if knowledgeable members such as
tdracer would chime in.
