JET2 Pax figs?
Just been reading the LBA website and it claims that Jet2 carried 35.000 pax in Jan, meanwhile with just under 3 times the numder of aircraft bmibaby carried over 200.000 pax, now my maths ain't right good but if Jet2 have got 5 aircraft at Leeds with a 135 seats each doing (or should be?) say 4 rotations a day thats 4 x135 x 30(days) = 113400 per aircraft x 5 = 567000 seats a month. about 6% of what they could in theory handle. Ok now i know there are lots of variables but even if one aircraft is a spare and the others are only used every other day, its still not a lot
will they ever make any money?
Please i am not knocking them its just that i would have expected at least 60k pax per month with that size of fleet and a captive market. are these number right?
