Mexican pilot here. In order to fly commercially, the law says you need to be “Mexicano por nacimiento”, that means either you were born in Mexico, or you were born to Mexican parents. If you don’t fall in any of those two categories, there’s no way for you to fly here, no way around it.
That gives you a glimpse of how closed and backwards laws are here. Aviation in Mexico is a nightmare, the mere act of keeping your license, medical and logbook current so you can keep your job is so costly in terms of time, effort and money, it’s not worth it. It’s bureaucratic hell and the rampant corruption and incompetency makes life hard for pilots and air personnel in general, so you’re better off looking somewhere else.
