I was surprised at the time when British Airways cancelled Genoa.
Genoa is a major Italian city, a major Italian city of business and commerce, Italys largest and most important port, and is close to Portofino and the entire Italian Riviera.
Having previously used British Airways from LGW to Genoa on a few occasions, I personally would like it to be resumed at some point. Genoa is obviously the missing link on British Airways impressive Italian route network.
Genoa was always a long standing route with British Airways and it was a legacy route inherited from BCAL and before that BUA.
Although easyjet have come and gone from LGW and MAN to Genoa it's a shame that it's only Ryanair currently flying from STN. Although I have to say that I have also used Ryanair to Genoa.
I'm not holding my breath but hopefully at some point in the future British Airways will reinstate LGW to Genoa. 👍
