the schooling allowance is not good. you get 850 BD per year per child for primary, higher for secondary. It depends on how old your kids are. my 7 and 8 year olds cost 700 BD odd a term each, 3 terms a year. you can work it out from there. That is for british schools, the american schools I believe are more expensive. In Abu Dhabi/ Dubai, 767, the schools are more expensive and very large waiting lists on most schools. The school fees go up every year, the allowance does not. If you are an FO it is a large chunk out of your pay.
