yes they do have lots of money but their leaders are too afraid to stick their heads out and demand increases. Also, the local managers couldn’t give a **** because they earn in excess of 25000$
pr month anyway. Plus allowances and bonuses. Average increase over the past 10 years is 1% per year. To attract new controllers from busy main airports around the world salaries now need to be at least 20000$
pr month. Plus allowances.
Also, the whole thing about ME being tax free just isnt true anymore. Yes there is no incometax as such but everything you buy/sell/trade is severely taxed one way or the other. Travel in and out of the region has also become ridiculously expensive for people that live there.
