Before you look at an airplane get both CAA and EASA class one medicals.You only need one PPL. EASA or CAA, it doesn't matter as its just a stepping stone, but you'll be hour building on that PPL. Sign up for ATPL theory at an ATO which teaches both.
Thanks rudestuff. I have my EASA Class 1 have not done a CAA Class 1 so I will look into that. Maybe you would know an answer to this after I complete my PPL I have access to a C42 (3 axis Microlight) I have read mixed reports of these hours being accepted to keep your PPL current but would they also be accepted when hour building towards a CPL?
I originally have planned for hours in a C152 but a friend has the C42 allowing me use at cost
