Asturias 56 to answer that. That was the problem. I had a good computer that had a motherboard fail. Bought a new one, that failed several times. It was a doomed computer after 6 fails my money was refunded. This 'new' computer came with pirated software which I was obliged to use with restraints on my time. I did not feel bad about this as I had the genuine Microsoft Windows 10 and MS Office. When I fitted my previous hard drive, there was a conflict of the two Windows OS and my genuine Windows locked out of my password. Yes a large amount of time has gone into the files now inaccessible on the USB HDD drive that is not recognised. Part of it was files recovered by Easus with thousands of irrelevant files and many more with no file names. My Dropbox was not accessible from the pirated software. That would have been a good choice to save to. It has all my recipes saved over the years, aircraft and general technical stuff and genealogy detail for 1500 years. The files are important to me as they are irreplaceable and need to be put in Dropbox.
