If so, I’d really speculate your guidance as a beginner with no experience apart from two hours flight time through Virgin Experience's.
I’m aware of BA supporting white tail training for the first time this year through SpeedBird academy but their open day is fully booked which spent seen very promising for me 😅.
Can anyone give some guidance for an aspiring commercial pilot looking for the first step on the ladder, who doesn’t have £100k spare for licensing?
if you don’t have the money, I’d say consider an other career path.
a) For different skills
b) To get a more secure job that can pay above minimum wage
Once you have some savings and been in the real world, if you still want to fly, consider any courses that are backed up by an airline, usually integrated.
if you want to go module, do your PPL and see how you go having one for awhile because thats the most fun flying you’ll have.
If you are at a stage where you can save 100k quite quickly, consider putting it down on a house first.
also be prepared to not be flying at the airlines. Fully expect to be instructing for years and earning not much more than you would at a normal job.
do not believe anyone that talks about the pilot shortage, its a marketing gimmick to sell flying courses.
