Many airports around Oz have bird and kangaroo hazards. Our roads have kangaroo hazards.
It is not like it is a big secret about take-offs on RWY 14, go arounds, yes would be more interesting. Did you consider your go around options prior to arrival?

Nevertheless, in a go around situation, you are already at safe flying speed near the ground (I hope) with power and ability to climb, not accelerating and climbing from runway level.
I guess it depends how late on your final approach you decided to go around.
The strip there is wide. It is paved with grass each side (yes it can get boggy in the wet, but then consider why you need to be going to YMBT).

I would have a low threshold for breaking off approach early onto RWY 14 at YMBT if things weren't right.
Another aircraft entered and backtracked 14 at the most inopportune moment with no radio calls.

I had indeed been to YMBT before and the winds dictated the use of runway 14.
