JAR-FCL 1.245 says the training flight may be replaced by any other proficiency check or skill test.
Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.215 lists all of the Classes and Types recognised under JAR-FCL1.
Helicopters are not listed because they are subject to JAR-FCL2 not JAR-FCL1 and therefore tests conducted on them do not count.
