That may work against drones, however... I'm no tank crew, but if they can't see or use their weapons, they are pretty much a sitting duck for anti-tank crews as you can take your time aiming at the "shed" knowing that it will not be returning fire. Especially as they seem to drive around the battle field without any support from infantry.
The nets (as seen on the MT-LB) have no use against ATGM's, artillery, LAW's etc,
Same applies to the sheets of metal, might trigger the first phase of the first LAW, which then breaks it and the next to hit works as usual. If using something with more bang like Javelin or APILAS, wouldn't expect those sheets to have much of extra protection.
Apparently drones are perceived as the main threat, as mobility and visibility are sacrificed. Or, drones are the only thing the orcs think they are able to protect themselves from.
