I recall the 8" gun being part of the order of battle during Cold War era. IIRC, that's what was able to fire nukes. (I don't think the 155's ever did).
The US Army still had some in the 90's.

That's some serious artillery. If Ukraine has some (they had/haver quite a bit of Soviet/Russian kit) who makes the shells?
It may be serious artillery in the massive sense, but it also looks a likely target for HIMARS. It's mobile, but has to be set up and requires a lot of support. It's not a shoot and scoot weapon and with the quick response from counter battery radar looks like a sitting duck; it also doesn't have the CEP of current guided weapons. It reminds my of Herr Hitler's Schwerer Gustav.
