B94/24
STANDARD FPL YSSY DEPARTURES TO SE ASIA AND MIDDLE EAST VIA KADOM AMD
DUE OPERATIONAL RESTRICTIONS WITHIN YMMM FIR.
INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURES PLANNING YSSY TO SE ASIA OR MIDDLE EAST VIA
KADOM WITH DEP TIME BTN 2330 AND 0700 TO PLAN THE FLW:
SY RIC H530 POTUM BAZZA VINAX... THEN FPL ROUTE.
FROM 03 162330 TO 03 170700
YSSY NOTAM (not YMMM).

Last week there were FIR NOTAMS advising to keep clear of BOURKE sector volume for SE Asia flights. Now the YSSY NOTAM includes Middle East, but doesn't include India or Sri Lanka.

YMML NOTAM only refers to YMML to YBCS flights, not YMML to YBHM or YMML to YBTL, or YMML to East Asia flights.
YPAD NOTAM only refers YPAD to YBBN flights, not YPAD to YBCG or YPAD to YBSU.

Seems lots of flights caught out by not being aware of the restrictions which delays flights, increases the workload on the Towers to correct the flight plan (or refer the aircraft to their company). Lack of effective communications with all affected parties. Lots of extra track miles to avoid the BOURKE sector, especially for the YPAD-YBBN and YMML-YBCS flights.

Surely the BOURKE NOTAM needed to include the restrictions or cross reference the YMML, YPAD and YSSY NOTAMs.
