As to the 350s, it’s hard to say at the moment. There are all sorts of rumours swirling around. As Window Heat mentioned, the fuel tanks required for the range are causing issues. Apparently adding too much weight. I’ve heard that they’re thinking about scrapping it for the moment just to get the aircraft on the line, but that’s just a rumour and I feel like management would rather save face and keep persevering with something that might not even be possible.

It would be nice to have an official announcement. But I guess if it’s not going to plan, they don’t want to admit the stuff up.

Management won’t care. Alan got his headline that’s all it ever was just to pump up his bonus and protect his legacy. Given the amount of own goals Boeing are kicking at the moment Airbus won’t be doing the same for just one customer so if they can’t do it they won’t be.
