The airframe is covered by insurance. The disruption costs, the costs to take care of the passengers (and their baggage, etc.),
PR and reputational damage, etc. - that all falls outside the scope of the airframe insurance.
Plus, a replacement aircraft will likely significantly more than what they get from the insurance...
