No I'm not saying governments shouldn't try and help but people go to those places with their eyes wide open.
Between PNG, and Papua I have been around this region for almost 15 years+

My eyes are very much wide open.

Its my own humble opinion and most of the expat aviation community that I know in Papua, is that Phil has basically been abandoned and that the Kiwi government is neck down in sand with fingers in their ears singing la la la....

I also agree, that were Phil a citizen of USA, it would be different discussion..

I don't know Phil personally, I have never met him in person but I feel for him and I will continue to stir the pot as much as I am able.
