GS-Alpha ! Super helpful, it's a completely different philosophy, as far as seniority and career progression is concerned. Where I "come" from Command is people's top priority followed by take-home pay. With the system you have described, it's more of a long term investment, which I think is still the way to go to try and make this career a tad more sustainable.
