How well individuals are treated in the RAF is very dependent on the quality of your chain of command - which is very variable. It's a bit of a lottery. But that no doubt applies to most organisations.

How is that Red Arrows investigation doing in the long grass?
Like most things, above Sqn/Wg level no one really cares, unless it's a free solution, but they have to be seen to care. Which is why we end up clicking furiously through endless DLE courses or sitting through hours of 'Thriving at Work ' lectures that have exactly the opposite effect of the title. The reason there are many more military suicides than in the 90s, is that we've been involved in many more kinetic ops. It sounds too simple a reason, but it's the reality.
