I would pay good money to know how many of these in the last 12 months said “due staffing”. And they dare get defensive when airlines blame ATC staffing
The way AsA use their console opening tool the accountants will say "you have too many staff on the afternoon shift as you haven't opened these consoles". Staff will say "we haven't opened the consoles because we didn't have the staff!!", and let's not worry about the delays and restrictions to pilots trying to earn a living by doing aerial work, survey work or wanting a Practice ILS. The accountants normally win. Instead of needing 800 it becomes [choose your number].
