RIP
A long time ago I was fortunate enough to be invited onto a CL215 for a training flight at Goose Bay during the fire season with the crew of Tanker 252. The dangers of water bombing were shown to me in a quietly understated way. In the current mass of forest fires in North America and Europe a whole bunch of dedicated people will be flying their backsides off in order to protect their people. RIP todays accident crew.
