Yes, but given Advance has signed out of the discussion, but (obviously) has a keen interest or lifetime passion for aviation, I think they were saying that Australian Airspace management and Australian ATC are a shadow of what they could and should be.
Failure to provide airspace classifications that ensure separation of IFR aircraft in IMC from each other when they can not do it themselves.
Failure to operate a world's best practice ATS system.
Does Seminole VH-JQF, Travelair VH-AEM fit this category. Perhaps VIC Coroner will tell us much more than the AsA and ATSB Reports.

The thread is largely about highlighting the staffing situation within Australian ATC, and how this impacts ATC and pilots.
Insufficient staff to provide the minimal service AsA has opted to provide, and minimal supervision as well.
The dysfunctional safety structure of AsA vis a vis CASA and the Department. No functional safety oversight and enforcement, no political control or responsibility.
Decisions being taken by people without the qualifications and experience to analyse the safety impacts of those decisions.
These are relevant. Whether you are looking at this thread as an air traffic controller or pilot (current or retired) or as someone interested in aviation, the current situation within Australian ATC doesn't have a single cause, nor a quick or easy solution.
