BA CityFlyer have used the MPL will great success training on the B737-800 simulator at FTEJerez.

There is no doubt that 120 hours simulator gives the MPL student a significant head start over the MCC/APS with only a third amount of time practicing multi crew operations. The type rating course is identical irrespective of which route you follow.
Line training as well should be an easier passage. Not as easy as say the Modular route where for at least a year you have been a one man band operating as single crew; essentially different learning curves to achieve as the various stages of training to produce the same standard for the RHS
