I've said it before - If TIBA "Is safe" now, such that ASA can propose it, and CASA will approve its' regular use, then "it's safe" for everyday use and we can get rid of the vast majority of ATCO's. Can't we? TIBA is either "safe" or it's not. If CASA allows it - when their overarching goal is "the safety of air navigation at all costs" - why bother having ATC separate us anyway?
Yep brought to you by the same clowns who approve SODPROPS and LAHSO. The real issue with CASA is that noone is ever responsible for anything. It has been suggested before on here but CASA need to be blown up completely and replaced by a government department who has a minister in charge. At least then they are on the hook when there is a mid air collision because right now all that will happen is that there will be a investigation which will blame the PICs for failing to see and avoid at 1000knots closing speed.
