But I can recall the Kamovs being here on a few occasions. There were two of them here, I think in the late 80s or early 90s for months with their blades off and the fuselages draped in canvas.
Then in the early 90s there was one which, I think initially did high tension power pylon placements on the south side of cairns and then I'm sure they also used them later to place the pylons for the Kuranda Skyrail cable way. I think that was around the time your movie was being made.
Columbia Helicopters also had a BV 105 that dropped in from PNG late 90s for a while.
I haven't seen any Kamovs here for a long time now.
