I would imagine once those lines are breached they will collapse as any supplies will be cut off and the soft underside rapidly taken.. or one hopes that will happen.. in the meantime its a slow slog destroying their ammunition stockpiles, supply routes, troop concentrations and command posts, all intended to weaken those front line fortifications.
