Based on extensive drift analysis of confirmed MH370 debris, the Independent Group has recommended a search area around 34.23S 93.79E out to +/-140 nautical miles.

NOTE: This “new” location is also compatible with the accident scenario endpoint first suggested in 2016 (34.3S 93.0E)
Recall: Autopilot diversion to Banda Aceh via NILAM and SANOB at M0.84/FL340 with left HGA / left Autothrottle inoperative and unresponsive crew.

This new site is compatible with:
1. Malaysian Primary Radar Data
2. Timing of FO mobile phone log on at Penang
3. Satellite data (BTO and BFO)
4. Known aircraft fuel load
5. Autopilot modes at route discontinuity
6. Actual winds and temperatures recorded
7. Debris drift analysis and beach timings
8. Observed debris damage
9. Optimum sea temperature for barnacle growth
10. And was never fully searched.
