When did the obsession with pointless mission statements morph into its current iteration? When they were invented I’m sure people obsessed over inventing a pithy statement to summarise their role. Nowadays it seems the aim is purely to come up with something that sounds cool but has zero relevance or credibility.
if Amey would like something more apt I’ve given it a stab on their behalf.
Here at Amey we are experts at turning taxpayers money into shareholder dividends and executive bonuses whilst ignoring the basic essentials of life for all those families who have sworn to serve their country.
They can have that for free. I won’t charge. I doubt there’s any money left in the budget anyway.
And please don’t get me started on the £144M to man the phones. I’m pretty sure a dozen of us with our iPhones could do a better job of call forwarding.
