The body of a man has been found after a light plane crashed in remote country near the Western Australian and South Australian border.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the crash after the Cessna plane went down about 9.40am on Friday near Caiguna, a small roadhouse community located along the Nullarbor Plain.
However, it was too late to save the man, who was aged in his 40s and was the sole occupant of the aircraft.
Caiguna is about 348km east of the border between WA and SA.
“Inquiries are ongoing and police will prepare a report for the Coroner,” WA Police said.
BUT the report is accompanied by a photo of an aircraft that is not a Cessna and the location is not Caiguna so maybe the text is not too reliable either!!!
