(a) Don't know as I only operated props out of Gib.

(b) True. Depending on the wind direction and strength (in the region of 12-15kts from certain directions if memory serves), no approaches are allowed due to the turbulence the rock will create. It is not unusual that the wind socks on either end of the runway are facing each other.

(c) Depending on the company you work for, but generally yes - maybe someone currently operating out of Gib will post a reply. At least a couple of approaches as an observer, then under supervision, some companies possibly Captains handling only (the approach itself is a lot of fun as well).
