Yes, it was a bit mad, especially when we encountered an opposite direction microlight on base leg....
However, they do need to ask pilots to 'land long and clear at the intersection' to avoid opposite direction conflict outside the Squadron. Happened to me once before, it's fine if u know the system, but not if u r new to NW. Otherwise, "a grand day out Gromit!!"
