Random Q. Are VORs, DMEs and TACAN still going these days? And, was TACAN VOR/DME combined; or completely different? Sorry for the hijack. Ta.
Yep, certainly all of the above are still being used, but days are numbered for VORs. DMEs will probably be around for many years, invariably used with the ILS instead of the Outer/Middle/Inner Markers of years ago!
