For the record I apologise for going a bit hard regarding the new carriers and aircraft, and I thank contributors for being gracious enough to not kick sh1t out of me.
I think part of my stance is driven by my recent reading / re-reading of at least four books on the handling / mishandling of air assets 40 years ago, and the recurring theme of inter-service rivalry and jealousy described.
I can only hope that Purple works better these days.
