I realise that the airlines, like a lot of other businesses, are having trouble attracting and keeping staff. I think AJ and the board (and their counterparts at other carriers who seem to read from the same playbook on maximum extraction) see this as yet another crisis to be spun for their ultimate personal gain, but their resemblance to Marie Antoinette grows stronger by the day.
