OK, I'll agree the 727-200 is a helluva fast-looking thunderstick, but I have a great fondness for the good old Diesel Ten, precursor of the Mad Dog 11.
Douglas always did build a very strong airframe. How many DC-10s and MD-11s will still be flying freight, 50 years after they rolled off the line? Quite a few, I reckon. But, as the saying goes, when they go to the boneyards, their crews will pax back in a 727!
