Seems like I go against the grain for some.
I worked at easyJet as a Captain for a time, and I agree it is NOT a pleasant place to work.
They preach CRM but don't practice it. Out of the classroom - Captains are god and F/Os are the Captains servant. I find this particularly distasteful. The poor guys are not even allowed to start engines - not capable of such a complicated thing.
The problem seems to come from the fact that a large number of management pilots haven't worked anywhere else, but yet think they've invented flying.
They certainly ignore any input from experienced minds, and this I think is very dangerous.
Try it if you like, but I don't think you'll enjoy it - so many are trying to leave - that has to say something.
I have a number of friends at Ryanair, and they love it - they are well rewarded, but I'm sure they will have their problems too.
Also easyJet may charge low fares, but they don't seem to be low cost - money is wasted, and poured down the plughole!
One thing is for certain though - the future is NOT 'orange'
