Just out of interest, when was the first Super Etendard landing aboard the Veinticinco De Mayo? Was there a test landing during the run up to the decision to purchase?
Argentine Naval aviation? Well, not a lot of news, so not a lot of writers required...
About ARA 25 de Mayo, the first landing was on 18 Apr 1983 at 1818 (local time). Pilot was
Capitán de Corbeta Augusto Bedacarratz (Section Leader on 4 May 82, the mission that attacked HMS Sheffield) and the plane was Super Étendard 3-A-208. This was the first landing ever on the 25 de Mayo. The day after Bedacarratz and 3-A-208 make the first use of the BS-4 catapult.
Two pilots (Mayora and Curilovic) did 6 traps on Clemenceau (R98), during June 1981.
