When I left the RAF they wanted my dinghy knife and all my flying suits and other kit returned back to stores.
Strangely enough, they didn't want any of my almost unused KD clothing back - mind you, I looked like something out of a Carry On film wearing it.
My No. 1 blue and Mess Kit are still in my wardrobe - but they are for a bloke about twenty five years younger and much slimmer than me. I'm annoyed that my best SD hat seems to have gone missing in
inaction.
