It all depends on the competition, how he has done at RMAS until the point of the Regimental Interview Boards and lastly what his Grading score was like. They tell you after Flight Grading how well you have done and how they think you will do on the Pilots Course. I think having a sponsorship early on helps alittle bit, but i am not sure.
