I did this exact process pre covid, I had right to work in EU.

If you have no right to work, dont waste your time you have less than 0% chance. if you have an EU passport you can give it a go, but the conversion process is long and expensive... you need your aussie license to be current for the whole period of conversion too...

So basically go do your ATPL theory, 6-12 months for the 14 exams is a good time period to plan on... then a month to sort out the license conversions to an EASA license (dont bother with a UK one until brexit **** is settled to some point)

you could be ready to go post covid if you get lucky... however the above guys are right, stick it out in Darwin, head to PNG, head to Broome get your name out and go from there... the flying is more fun than sitting in the pointy end of a jet earning less than tesco wages atm...
