All this talk of the Royal Marines has reminded me of a documentary I saw about childhood obesity and levels of fitness and physical activity in the young. I think it was broadcast in 1992 - as I remember talking about it at school. The Duke spoke in his role as Captain General of the Royal Marines, and said that the fitness level of the public had declined over the years.
If we had paid attention to HRH then there would be a healthier population, and the NHS would save countless millions.
