A pretty shocking requirement that MEP is. What's the logic behind it really. I understand the requirement for a minimum number of piston engine time (SEP or MEP). But if you've got the SEP hours and thousands of hours on other propulsion aircrafts such as a turbine powered twins, why would you need to have 30 hours of flying around the flag pole in "normal ops" (no asymmetry twin piston) in a MEP. Anyways it is what it is - please let us know what you find for solution to reaching the 30h.
